The LaTeX symbols palette

This tool can be invoked with the "" button in shrinked mode.

This tool displays a list of LaTeX symbols, by category. Choose a category in the list right under the symbol palette.

To view the LaTeX code for a symbol, click the symbol and the code will appear below the category chooser. You can then click the "" button to insert the symbol in the equation editor. The same effect is obtained if you double-click the symbol.

Depending on the symbol you choose, you may need to include one or more additional LaTeX packages. If you get a LaTeX error complaining about an undefined control sequence, insert the \usepackage{xyz} directive in the preamble (in expanded mode) where xyz is the necessary package.
